OoooOOh Sorry for the late update!

2 Reasons why I am not updating recently.

1. I use most of my time studying
2. I spend almost all my leisure time playing Habbo SG ( :D )

Update on My life :-

First of all, Sorry sorry sorry, for all the friends I've neglected due to the above 2 reasons, hope you accept my apology. 2ndly, I've just gotten a new BED! HOW COOL IS THAT! I'm gonna be the first 2 try it! YEAH!

For my exams, I've currently challenged everyone who is good in their subjects. Err. My bet is 1 ribena. If I win you, you treat me to 1 ribena and vice versa. And for my Physics Pract,I only got 15.5 / 30. WTF? Where have I gone wrong. Then I realised a stupid mistake. GRRAAAAHHHHHH! MY CARELESSNESS!!!! Blah, I shall not harp on that anymore...

Anyway, I'm pretty confident about my Chemistry Practical so at least, AT LEAST give me a 25/30 for that k?

Habbo Hotel SG:

I have spent around 20c which converts into $9.00++ liao. Come on. Its free! I use money to buy furni only. Soo go on and check it out! No one's forcing you. habbohotel.com.sg. If you sign up, tell me! And meet me there! Btw, I love K-Radio! :p

Cheers to Prepaid Cards!

No time, no time to do my revision at all...

All because I am being bombarded by Practice Exam Papers.

How many papers have Mrs Cheoh given already? Hmmm, not sure, I'm drowning in it already. Teachers always want us to do the best for our exams. I am trying to do that though revision but there is constantly No TIME! How can I pass my exams like that! Almost every single day there is a test, no time to rest. How to relax, how to pass?

Now I am resorting to my utmost method.

1. Reach home, bathe and sleep.
2. Sleep till 7-8 pm. Wake up.
3. Do work till 1-2 am.

This method is very straineous (sp) and tiring for me. That's why I am always sleepy in school. I have like no time for my own leisure anymore. Right now I just want to clear all the work that I have and get it over with.

This week's review : Wimbledon & Catch Me If You Can

Wimbledon

My Review
Movie Rating : 3.5/5 - Make time for it

A traditional guy meets girl father objects. In the end, happy ever after. In this movie, it is beautifully potrayed by the 3 main cast, Peter ( the guy ), Lizzie ( the girl ) and Dennis ( girl's father). The show starts off with Peter ( Paul Bettany ) being a tennis pro but is always down on his luck. He gets a wild card to go to Wimbledon ( the ultimate competition for tennis pros ). In there he meets a the girl ( Kristen Dunst ) and they date, falling for each other. However her father ( Sam Neil ) wants her to concentrate on winning the tournament and sees Peter as a distraction. Catch this quirky tale to see how they juggle their love and competition. Amazing screenplay, sastifying plot and of course, very charming and convincing actors. ( Psst : They do not know how to play tennis at all! ) I can say that this movie sets the standards for all guy meets girl and father objects films.

Best bit: The whole scene Peter and Lizzie goes jogging

Official Review by Shadows on the wall:
Movie rating: 4/5

Working Title seems to have a corner on British romantic comedies (Bridget Jones, Notting Hill, you name it), especially when combined with British wish-fulfillment fantasies (a prime minister to be proud of in Love Actually, an English tennis champ here). Fortunately, they're very good at what they do, and this entertaining, energetic film is a real crowd-pleaser.
Peter Colt (Bettany) is almost a has-been tennis star, competing in one more tournament--on a wild card entry at Wimbledon--before retiring to a private club to coach leering middle-aged women. But he surprises everyone when he wins his first-round match, and spurred on by a furtive love affair with the up-and-coming American player Lizzie Bradbury (Dunst) he goes further than he ever expected. Of course there are obstacles such as a match against his buddy Dieter (Coster Waldau), the sudden reappearance of his fast=talking agent (Favreau), and the interference of Lizzie's father (Neill). Can he find the strength to go the distance?

The best news is that the film bristles with spiky energy and offhanded details that bring all the characters to vivid life. Loncraine directs the film dynamically, with whizzy camera movements and intriguing frame composition that at least keeps it from looking like a standard rom-com. Even though we know that's what it is. The script is sharply witty, with hilarious eccentricities thrown in throughout the story (most notably in Peter's scruffy-posh family, very well-played by McAvoy, Hill and Bron). And there's a real spark of chemistry between Bettany and Dunst, both of whom give solid performances that add layers of intriguing depth while they keep us laughing and sighing.

There's a wonderful feeling of authenticity in the behind-the-scenes action--the celebrity, rivalry, camaraderie, superstitions are all touched on intriguingly. On the other hand there's some truly wonky English geography on display, as well as some rather dodgy computer-generated tennis balls. Yet even if details are strangely careless (a semifinal on an outside court? NBC TV reception in London?), we still get caught up in it, cheering for both victory and true love even though we know exactly what will happen.

Next up...

Catch Me If You Can

My Review
Movie rating : 5/5 - A rare gem

Inspired by a true story, Steven Spielberg has made another wonderful movie out of it. This story starts off in the 1960s with Frank ( Leonardo DiCapio ). Having taken from family everything, he sets on a journey to get it all back. However, his moves are not by the side of the law, resulting in Carl ( Tom Hanks ), an F.B.I agent chasing him as Frank goes on to become a pilot, a salesman, a doctor, then a lawyer. You can't help but root for Frank. Amazingly charming and resourceful, watch out for how he gets to each career without even being qualified for it! Watch the movie and see the interesting chemistry between this two guys and how they start chasing each other around the world. Beautiful score ( makes you get addicted to the music ) fantastic plot, and amazing casts, making this story one of the best ever made film with not a hint of CGI. It is no wonder that this movie cliched itself 2 academy awards. Constantly on the hype and interestingly comical.

Best bit: Basically the whole show

Official Review by Shadows on the wall:
Movie Rating 4.5/5

This is the second movie of 2002 for Spielberg, DiCaprio and Hanks, and it represents a wonderful type-shift for all of them. It's also one of the most brightly entertaining films of the year. The true story centres on notorious conman Frank Abagnale Jr (DiCaprio), who at age 16 runs away from home when his parents (Walken and Baye, both fantastic) separate. In the next few years, he becomes an expert at cheque forgery and fraudulently works as a pilot, doctor and lawyer, all while the meticulous FBI agent Hanratty (Hanks) doggedly pursues him around the country.

The surprise here is the film's fresh and jazzy tone (augmented by one of John Williams' most interesting scores). Spielberg has never done anything like this; while it still has his trademarks--an assured point of view, technical genius, strong character focus--but it's also drenched in a newfound playfulness. This sense of fun permeates the performances, which still manage to have an edge of maturity and introspection to them. DiCaprio gives an energetic yet measured turn as a young man acting out every schoolboy fantasy, enjoying the high life and trying to ignore his demons. Hanks is superb as the grumpy workaholic, fed up with the silly antics of everyone around him. His personal life is even more frustrating than his professional one, yet he somehow keeps it all in perspective. As the film progresses it feels almost effortless in its brisk pacing and colourful design. The themes are refreshingly subtle, even though Spielberg knows how to punch all the right buttons to make sure we don't miss the point. With its extended epilogue, the film feels about a half-hour too long, but the story is so good and there are so many fabulous set pieces that you can't imagine leaving anything out.

Cheers to Movie rentals! Heehee

I knew it...I knew it all along, it was right in my face.

Yes, today was enrolment. The day I have been waiting for all along. But guess what. I wasn't promoted. Instead, sec3s were even promoted to higher ranks than us.

I'm crumbling inside.

I am on the brink of going crazy, madness.

But I finally found out why. Why I was not promoted. Not the stupid reason Mr. Poh gave me, that I did not appear for a period of time. It was the reason, that was in my face all along.

It has to do with our batch. Wilson, Swee Khoon, Eugene, Nico, Joey, Aaron, Shawn, Hao Yi and me. Our batch can be currently the most powerful, most motivated, most bonded, most valuable batch since last year.

I knew it all along.. Since our batch was the so-called "pioneers" and that with the current situation of the company. If we were to get our ranks and leave, the company would crumble. Yes, crumble. Mr Poh knew it was going to happen, he made the most devious plan of all, a risky plan, a plan that could backfire, a plan that would make us still stay in the boys' brigade through our last years, he removed our ranks from us.

A quote from what he said to me. " I want to see you coming for parade till June. If you want to get from sergeant to Staff sergeant, you will have to fight for it. "

You get it? He wants us to stay in BB through June, how? By fighting for Staff Sergeant. How do we get it? We must still stay in BB till June.

A very devious plan indeed, all for because he wants to retain the current strength of BB, to prevent the BB in Springfield from crumbling.

Now I see...This is a plan that could backfire. A plan that almost pushed me across the brink of madness, a plan that would make me fight for the staff sergeant, a plan that is at the expenses of my acadaemics, a plan that could BACKFIRE.

Now I see it... I knew it...I knew it all along, it was right in my face.

Cheers to noone but myself.

A chance to say it again...

"Let me tell you a story, I may not have a chance to say it anymore.

The end is near. Somewhere in the future years, around the year 2400 AD, the whole electrical system will be wiped out. No more TVs, only projectiles. No more computers, only keyboards. The screen will be displayed by a projector. No more writing, only typing. What we think will be what is displayed. It all will be connected to our minds.

How does this affect us? This will definitely affect us, there will be no more internet. Oh yes there will you say, yes, there will be a completely new internet. An internet without this, an internet without this blog. Or anything you have created.

Scientists predict that there will a major internet but that will wipe the whole internet, yes, the WHOLE internet. The scientists will hastily try to do a major project by saving everything from the internet. This in actual fact, can be completed, but due to the major shortage of time, they will only save those items on the internet that has the utmost importance and significance, but not this blog, not something you posted.

Luckily, the bug does not affect the computer at all. Everything you have on the computer will be safe. But as I said, newer ways of information technology will come in. The bugs we see on the internet now are only the smallest things, they are only the beginning, a decoy.

Save the information on the compact disc you say, there will be a time when the computers has to totally break off from the older systems in order to advance. There won't be a way to transfer your creations into the newer computers. But luckily it will still be in your mind. If you have good memory, you can adapt and re-type everything that you have created.

As for me, my end is coming, I don't have enough time to do that. So please, do me a favour, pass this message on... "

Adapted from another blog post.

I just want to let you to know that this is a prediction, most likely to happen. Don't wait till a time when I will tell you, I told you so!

Cheers to My views of life !

Today is Games day.

There was two things I was looking forward to today.
1- Physics test
2- Games Day

Physics Test. This test was right after P.E. Right after when I exerted myself whole running. I felt like vomitting the whole bloody damn time. I took around 5 miutes just to get up to my class, feeling tired, dizzy and going to vomit at the same time. I quickly downed alot of liquid when I got to my seat. Bad Move. During the test, I almost vomit. Pondering over whether to go to the toilet or continue with the test. I continued and controlled my stomach, which was still churning after the 2.4km run. I thought all the questions carefully and slowly but am confident that I will pass.

Games Day. This was held at 3.00pm today, release time for school was 12.25pm. I had to wait freaking 3 hours. If I went home, I never would have come back, so I stayed put. I voted to play the defender in my team. So when its was our turn, we had to vs. 4J. It was a good and tight game, keeping the score at 1-0. We lost of course, mistake on my part. I can say I played fairly well. After that, I went to the hall to have a leisure game of badminton. By the time I got down, 4H have already finished their soccer match. They lost 1-0 and Wen Ming got a hit in his groin. He has been complaing ever since we left the school. Oh Well, who wouldn't want to have a father's day.

Tommorow is Saturday, BB, code 2. I have lotsa homework too. After BB, I have to rush to my tuition centre. Right now, I am going to polish my stuff. TaTa

Cheers to Games Day!
